Then, she somehow nonchalantly had me go to the Playstore and download AnyDesk, then AnyDesk Ad1. (We have separate accounts) She asked me to put my cell phone on speaker so I could access my accounts while still on the phone. I looked at mine and my husband's bank accounts, and there was nothing. Anyway, today, 11/29/21, I received a call from a lady with a foreign accent, stating that there is a concern with a pending purchase on my Amazon account, and that it looks suspicious. And I'm usually pretty good at picking out these types of scammers! I feel soooo dumb!!! On occasion, I do get calls from the bank asking about purchases, but they are always legit.
I almost fell for this guy. Mind you, I NEVER answer UNKNOWN calls, but I was expecting a work related call at that moment.
I've read alot of posts about this AnyDesk Amazon scam fella, and I'm glad I'm not alone. Somewhat new to Reddit, needing some reassurance please.
